Introduction to Eastern Małopolska issues

Małopolska (Lesser Poland or also called Little Poland) is a district in southeast Poland, bordering Ukraine. In the years 1918-1920, in the eastern part of Little Poland, Ukrainian stamps were used (Michel 1-5 and 66, People's Republic of Ukraine). Also, in 1918, Western Ukrainian stamps were used in the area and in 1919, the Pokuttya area of Western Ukraine was overrun by the Romanian army, which continued to issue overprints.
