Glossary

Wieliczka is a village, about 15 km. southeast of Kraków. Wieliczka is famous for its salt mine (kopalnia soli) which has been operating for at least 700 years. Part of the mine has been opened as a museum. The salt mine is on the Unesco world cultural heritage list.
