Glossary

The name belladonna originates from the historic use by ladies (Bella Donna is Italian for beautiful lady) to dilate their pupils, thus making their eyes supposedly more attractive. Atropa belladonna is the most important source of atropine.
Datura innoxia (Angel's trumpet) is also known as Datura inoxia.
