Examples of Polish cancellations on Russian postage stamps

Before Poland recovered its independence in 1918, Austrian, Prussian and Russian stamps were used on Polish land. Collecting Polish cancellations on non-Polish stamps can be a welcome addition to your Polish stamp collection.
Placenames used for Russian cancellations are generally in the Russian language (Russia uses Cyrillic characters). In some cases both the Russian and the Polish name of the town was used.
